Fred Holland Day (Born USA July 8, 1864 - Died USA November 12, 1933)

1864 - Born in Norwood, Massachusetts

1887 - Earliest surviving photographs

1896 - Elected to The Linked Ring Brotherhood. He becomes third American to be elected to this society

1900 - Organizes New School of American Photography exhibition at the galleries of the Royal Photographic Society (opens on October 10 and travels to Paris in 1901)

Twice he declines Stieglitz`s invitation to join the Photo-Secession and refuses to allow his photographs to be reproduced in Camera Work.
