Neugass, Fritz - Flame Frame

Neugrass made this striking flame-lit portrait of Andreas Feininger by instructing Feininger to light a match, arc the flame over his head, and light his pipe. With the aperture wide open at f/3.5, the exposure took roughly four seconds with a Rolleiflex camera edquipped with a 75 mm Zeiss Tessar f/3.5 lens.[1]
