| You are invited to become a contributing member of the Notes community. The general public has read-only access to the website. Input can be placed in the Feedback box found in the left-side navigation. A User account is required to take advantage of Discussion pages. This process is automated through the website; simply click on the 'create an account' link below this message. A Contributor level of access enables the User to add and edit information to articles. We ask that you submit a short introduction that provides details about your professional background and interest in contributing to the Notes On Photographs website. These requests will be reviewed by project staff. Project staff invites and approves Curator-level participants. Curators are Contributors who have established expertise in a given area and volunteer their time and leadership to take responsibility for a particular topic or single article on the website. Once a curator has been established, outside suggestions or changes made to the respective article are automatically stored as a draft and an email is generated informing the curator that a suggestion has been made. The curator is responsible for assessing the information and making revisions appropriately. The suggestion can be approved or rejected and reasons cited for the decision. This information is archived in the wiki histories and curator revision histories and viewable by all. |
